With this modification, Pauly's Steelin' will GREATLY reduce friction to assist the Saiga-12, Saiga-20, 410 & Rifles to achieve the utmost reliability & GREATLY improves ease of loading Magazines on a closed bolt!

-Pauly's Steelin' will mirror polish & Precisely Mill the Bolt to GlassBolt's proven profile

-Ramp & treat the underside of the carrier for optimal resistance reduction as the underside of the carrier resets the hammer into the disconnector as well as treat the surface for optimal lubrication retention

- treat the rail guides, recoil spring channel, all friction bearing parts on the fire control group, including the axis pin, to complete the smoothest Trigger pull available for both reliability & to make is slicker than... Well.... With a very clean break.

Pauly's Steelin' Custom Fabrication will also tune the extractor which includes repair, if factory defects effecting its movement are present, as well as tightening the retaining pins, Notching the BHO's spring reas for further reliability, and smoothing the button correctly for NO EXTRA CHARGE!!! (factory spring will be returned with unit)

All FCG work is matched to the carrier properly using shop specifications as well as tested for proper function.

Here's a video of the Pauly's Steelin's Self Resetting mainspring tuning in action. My springs CANNOT wander inward causing trigger resetting issues!

The utmost care is taken to ensure factory timing & maintain factory headspace.

This modification can be done to bolts & carriers in factory condition;

(the utmost care & precise measurements will be taken to ensure optimal strength)

This service by Pauly's Steelin' Custom Fabrication may be the difference between a borderline reliable gun reaching reliability!
This modification from Pauly's Steelin Custom Fabrication helps greatly with cycling the lower powered rounds, especially through the various Saiga-12 drums, being as the springs are much stronger in the drums than stick mags. Pauly'Steelin' Custom fabrication's GlassBolt is the service preferred by the Drums designers!

Elsewhere, a much less refined, less comprehensive service has cost upward of $165, and LOCTITE is involved!!!!
(don't ask. lol)

At Pauly's Steelin' Custom Fabrication.
When our name is going out on it, it's got to be the best & we're the only shop proud enough to post close up, focused pictures of ANY of our finished work. All Ad pics are customer pieces, and many are customer supplied.
My trade secret is that nobody else has the drive to put the time into each piece, so there's no need to hide mine. happy.png
Arrogant? No.

GlassBolt's EARNED its reputation.

It is standard practice at Pauly's Steelin Custom Fabrication to use the finest custom Mitutoyo precision measuring equipment throughout every step of the process to ensure the highest quality precision, repeatable workmanship & the profile is engineered to keep the bolt's strength for shooting high power loads. Pauly's Steelin' Custom Fabrication has never, and will never ruin the customers vital firearms parts because of this.
We measure and mill the pieces to keep the tolerances consistent unit it to unit being as the units are hand machined at the factory. The only way to do this is by treating each unit as an individual.
This is vital, due to the fact that this procedure, if not done properly, with precision equipment, can set up the firearm for the risk of slam-fire & endanger the end user.

Additionally Pauly's Steelin Custom Fabrication will media blast & treat the entire carrier to give a very sharply finished look, FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE!!!

I don't know when I will have my guns, can I pay now and have the service done at a later date? May be months. Also, is material removed to help with loading on a closed bolt?
The preceding post is a work of fiction.

PM sent & yes a great deal of material is removed to assist with mag insertion..
The most comprehensive profile & polish available today is performed with this service by precision measurement of all key points, however it is hard to relay in pictures due to the extremely high gloss finish & the fact that I round the whole bolt to further reduce friction as the bolt rotates, as opposed to grinding it flat & leaving the side like others have.

I know exactly how thick the thinnest points of all my bolts are throughout every step of my process, so each job comes out the same.

Holy crap, i wish my bolt that the other guy did his "handy work" on, looked like those, it makes mine look like horseshit! :lolol:

I might be sending you some work soon. I'd like to eventually have all of my carriers done up.

Send it on over.
I'll measure to ensure I don't go too far & dress it up nicely.
If it's not right on the verge of breaking through the bolt It shouldn't be an issue.
I'll know the second I measure the vital points.

how much to do just the bolt and carrier?
The greatest hypnotist on the planet earth is an oblong box in the corner of the room. It is constantly telling us what to believe is real.
The greatest form of control is when you think you're free, when you're being fundamentally manipulated and dictated to. One form of dictatorship is being in a prison cell and you can see the bars and touch them. The other one is sitting in a prison cell but you can't see the bars, but you think you're free.
What the human race is suffering from is mass hypnosis. We are being hypnotized by people like this: Newsreaders, politicians, teachers and lecturers. We are in a country and in a world that is being run by unbelievably sick people. The chasm between what we're told is going on and what's really going on is absolutely enormous.

Well, I was offering whatever you sent as a package, but I suppose, I'll knock $10.00 off if it's just the bolt & carrier.

I set up an account a while ago for E-bay, but it's not linked to my business account, so for the next little bit, I'll just be doing money order, check, or cashiers check.
(I must wait for personal checks to clear though)
My LLC is in process, so I must keep business & personal assets separate.

I wasn't expecting to come on board so soon, so I wasn't really prepared logistically.
I was contacted via this forums PM system, so I figured it was only fair to cut Max in on the profits, being as it is his house.

I'll be modernized within a couple weeks.

Wow, simply beautiful work your doing and at a price I cannot pass up. My only concern is the fact that I live in FL and the humidity here will quickly destroy bare metal. What type of corrosion resistance do internals polished to a mirror finish have? Will they hold up to the test of time without constant daily attention?

Yes.

This steel alloy is close to a stainless, its not quite a stainless though.

I live in Oregon. Mine has been matte & polished for about a year & a half & I shoot in the pouring rain.
Mine hasn't rusted.

The steel alloy is usually VERY corrosion resistant.
Just lightly oil.

Many top builders run their carriers this way.

Can you also do this service to the rifles?

Hell Yes!

A fair amount of friction is going to be reduced so the action & trigger will be smoother.

My rifle sets are profiled to be like military AK bolts & carriers then brought to the same high quality professional finish with no expense spared.

For the multiple requests about the removal of the FCG from the S-12, this should give you an idea.

I Run a shepard's crook.

A retainer plate is removed after removing the safety.

Now, if you're unconverted, you don't need a hammer profile.
I just finish those without removing any material.

I intentionally don't gloss my hammers as much as I can, because my carrier is so polished that the hammer being perfectly polished would cause excessive drag when dry.

contrarty to what some seem to believe, if one is capable of achieving a near flawless finish, 2 nearly flawless surfaces will create a great deal of friction.

If you don't believe me, go rub 2 glasses together.
They're real smooth, but friction is definitely not reduced.
I've developed a finishing process with the hammers that work absolutely great with the carriers stunning finish.
