Rickj427 15
To mount HK sights, can I just buy an HK 91/G3 triple frame and cut the bottom half off or are there further modifications that have to be done? Also, for the rear, do I just weld an HK91/G3 sight base to the top cover or is there certain modifications that need to be done? What is the best way to line up the sights before attaching? I'm interested in this myself! I'm only leaning away from it because I'm concerned the elevation will come out wrong (to which the only adjustment is doing a new front blade (difficult), or I won't get them lined up perfectly to begin with. More the elevation issue. I really like the Tromix base, but fuck if I'm going to pay $145 for a sight base on a gun that cost me $470. I'm also curious about the diameter difference between the MP5/G3 cocking tube and the Saiga piston housing. I guess I'll have to pull out my MP5 and take some measurements tonight.
