Heath_h49008 442
Yep, and these guys are paid business members of the forum you are on right now. It is one solution to the speed vs mag capacity question for 3-gun competition shooting. Edit: They also produce one of the most sought after Saiga 12s on the market. lbsrdi 1,078
I wonder if you have to have a magwell to use this?

SilentVectorX 0
I wonder if you have to have a magwell to use this? I'm pretty sure you do. It's already been ground down on the sides. But if you look at it, it's a pair of joined Surefire mags with a coupler. Makes sense, since IIRC, Surefire mags can be cut off at the lines to make shorter mags. http://www.randrtargets.com/saiga_shotgun_parts.htm

Doug Hartley 526
We sell 20 round mags for use in our magwell only and the coupler is not available for sale separately. The reason is that with any other magwell you have a good chance of breaking off the top of the mag while shooting due to the extra weight and moment arm of the long mag. Our magwell was designed for use with the 20 round mag so that it supports the top of the magazine. To date we have not had a single 20 round mag break during use and we have run them pretty hard. I know that we could sell a bunch of these but we are more interested in having them work properly than making a few extra bucks. Here is a shot of Clint Upchurch shooting an R&R Saiga with 20 round mag: And here is a link to a 3 Gun Nation article on Clint who is a R&R sponsored shooter: http://www.3gunnation.com/news/3gn_spotlight_clint_upchurch Doug

Azrial 1,091
But what does any of this to do with a "smg straight mag?" It is not for a Sub Machine Gun and it is not straight.
