rightwingnut 0
befoer I sbs'd my S12, the shark brake made no noticable difference in recoil. How about w/ an 11.5" barrel or other SBS lengths. Shousl I bother threading it to put my shark brake back on?

I have never heard of anyone getting any noticable benefit at any length from the Shark brake. Maybe someone who has had actual success with it on a SBS will chime in. Shandlanos 1,470
There is a noticeable difference with the shark break on my 8" SBS, but the recoil is still substantial. Since I have no need to breach doors, in general I don't use it - it adds weight, length, and a pointy muzzle, as well as blowing hot gas back into your face, without enough felt recoil reduction to make it worthwhile. On a full-length gun, it's much more worthwhile - less likely to stick yourself with the muzzle, and the hot gas is much less likely to make it to your face.
