Ok looking into ways of reducing recoil and rise on the 308 I went ahead and installed a recoil buffer.

Well the results were nothing short of spectacular. Less recoil than a brake and of course no side blast. I never knew so much force was being transmitted through that steel stop from the factory. Went though a variety of ammo and a few rapid fire groups. Group size reduction was at least halved on rapid fire and rise was almost non-existent, about the same as a basic 223. Frankly I was shocked.

If you do not wish to modify your spring assm then one can be purchased from Arsenal for around $25, its just the standard Ruskie 7.62 spring assm.

Ran 100 rounds though it, no feed issues what so ever just be sure its seated correctly after install. Ordering some spares and a spare spring assm while I am thinking of it.
