Saiga worn out parts

Recommended Posts

My S-12 was made in 2001 and finally the first gun part has worn out and I've put a lot of lead down the pipe. Where the piston rod connects to the bolt carrier has finally worn very badly. I'm wondering if I can simpley tig weld it back? Or can I order a new bolt carrier?

This is a serious situation because I'm concerned about getting my guns ready for the 3 gun/multi gun season this year.

It can probably be fixed John. Send me some pics or bring it by. I just repaired a guy's bolt the other day and made it good as new. He was ready to dump it and get a new one if he could find it because the feed foot had been ground down on the bolt head so far there wasn't any "claw" left. It was just flat.

These are pics of how it was when I got it in for service.....you can see the difference in the bad one (the bottom one in the pics), and a normal one, if you look close at the foot.

Test fired it the other day and it worked great. Before repair it wouldn't even chamber a round...

COBRA RULES!!!!!!!!!!! Man, thanks for saving my bolt. I can't recommend Cobra enough, the ultimate guru. Guys, don't be fooled by some of the other people around the forums pretending to be better, cause you just can't get better than this work.

Thanks again, and I owe you one man :super:
