ktcm7271 999
Sam Elliot. I met him late night at a diner in Gettysburg while they were filming the movie. He was a dick. Ted Nugent. I met him at an archery show in Altoona Pa in 1990. He was cool as hell. King Diamond. I met him with a back stage pass I bought off of a junkie in Baltimore. That is one weird/smart dude. A total germ freak! I still love his music, he just had open heart surgery in December. Recover soon, Kim Bendix Peterson! Andy LaRocque-King Diamond's guitar player. He was hitting on my girlfriend after a show in Philly. Her dumb ass didn't even recognize him! All of Overkill several times. I'm on the dvd in 3 spots. One of the guys from "That Metal Show" on VH1. Greg Valentine. At the Big 3 concert. This one's for Drew. I've met and hung out with Billy Milano 3x! Once at the S.O.D. reunion in Philly, twice with M.O.D. I did an un-named substance with the drummer from Nuclear Assault when my band opened for them back in 1992. Chuck Billy from Testament. I called him F.B.I. "Fucking Big Indian". That dude is 6'6"! That's all I got for now-the memory is a bit foggy these days.
Cobra 76 two 2,677
Cool idea for a thread KT But whadaya mean Will doesn't count? I don't know man....dude's pretty famous....even before the TV show... Let's see, I hear ya about that fuzzy memory part...lol. And I'm still on my first cup of coffee so clearing cobwebs here. Rock legends first I guess... Woodroe Weatherman, Reed Mullin, and Mike Dean first come to mind. (Original guitarist, drummer, and bass player of Corrosion Of Confomity, or C.O.C.)...longtime legends in Hardcore Punk Thrash, and Metal. Reed and Woody have been great friends of mine since Jr & High school in the late 70's.....wow are we that old...lol? We still see each other occasionally and always catch up at shows. Right now they're out in LA laying down some fresh tracks! Met Mike a few years later after they all got famous jammin together, and then recording at my ex wife's "Jag Studio" in Raleigh, NC. That's where I met Pepper Keenan after he joined the band. Another good friend, John Custer, also getting pretty famous now, produced and helped write a lot of material with them since "Blind" was recorded with Karl Agell (of Leadfoot), the previous singer. Custer's out there in Cali with them now. Had some great times at Jag watching all those guys working together during the recording of Blind, Deliverance, and Wiseblood. They eventually went on to Muscle Shoals and other famous studios, but they always loved that pure crunchy 24 track analog sound at Jag. Can't wait to see those guys again soon on their new tour. Pepper's off doing stuff with Down again, so it's just the 'original three' lineup like Racegal and I saw them back in August. Pure thrash and hardcore, not much metal at all. Kickass! Met lots of other local rock bands from NC and surrounding states....Nantucket, Sidewinder, PKM, Cry Of Love, Dag, Hootie, Kaisha Six / Jam Pain Society, Aftermath, Eldrich Horror, Slugnut, ....all good peeps! Jimmy Chalfant, drummer for Kix...met him shooting pool before a show here in town and got invited to party with the band at a motel after the show.....wow is all I can say about that...lol. They had two rooms rented and both were full of non stop party with those they chose to invite. Good times...from all I remember.... Nikko McBrain...drummer for Iron Maiden. Met him at a drum clinic at a local music store. Damn that dude's a fucking trip! One HELL of a drummer too. And of course I can't leave out good ol Uncle Ted!! Met the Nuge in ' 05...Dixie Deer Classic... at a meet and greet, after he did a lecture on deer hunting, shooting bows and guns, and a little politics of course...WOW what a cool guy!! Explosive! He enjoyed signing the butt stock of my AKS-12 His eyes lit up when he saw that Bulgarian blonde wood. Various famous sports legends I've met and hung out with.... Early BMX legends Greg Hill, Harry Leary, Tim Judge, Andy Patterson 12 time World Disc Golf Champion Ken Climo...really cool dude and fun to hang out with. Skydiving great, ' 74 World Trampoline Champ, and ultimate showoff til the very end.... RIP my cousin Bob Neely!!! I'm sure there's more that folks here would actually recognize, but coffee's empty and my brain hurts...lol. In closing I have to give honorable mention to all the cool folks I have met from this forum and shot Saigas with! Maybe I'll have to start another thread for that actually....

yakdung 2,926
I met Penn Jillette in Las Vegas after an all night gambling binge in Las Vegas, I was in a coffee shop on the strip and he and his beautiful model girl friend were sitting next to us. Cool and friendly guy but ugly. No match for the beautiful blonde model lady friend he was with at the time. The guy is a nut. From his WiKi page: In July 1999, Jillette was granted U.S. Patent 5,920,923 for the "Jill-Jet", a hot-tub jet specially angled for a woman's pleasure. He has credited Debbie Harry of Blondie for suggesting the idea, as the two of them were once in a hot-tub and Harry made a remark about changing the jets for a woman's pleasure. Jillette liked the idea enough to pursue patent application at the USPTO under the patent title "Hydro-therapeutic stimulator". 22_Shooter 1,560
I made breakfast for Hulk Hogan and his daughter Brooke when they stayed at the hotel I worked at up in NY. We had a lot of famous people come through that place, although I didn't meet all of them. Green Day stayed there, some famous country singer (no idea who, as I'm not into country, but he was famous enough to make all the girls cream their pants, lol). Hillary Clinton was there before I started working there, and one of the cooks (a female, self-proclaimed "anarchist" with tats to match) was told not to come into work that day . A few people who went to my highschool went on to play pro sports; UFC fighter Jon "Bones" Jones went to my school a few years behind me, a kid I graduated with plays for the Orioles now, and a kid who graduated with my sister played for the Seahawks (not sure which team now, though). That's about it.
Gemmons 23
Ted Nugent at a car show and a hunting show he is very approachable guy. Ricky Carmicheal motorcross' G.O.A.T. , Travis Pastrana, Kevin Windham, Jeremy Mcgrath, Bubba Stewart, snowmobilings legend Blair Morgan, and Cris Burandt. Alex Debogorski from Ice Road Truckers. And last but certainly not least most of the Detroit Red Wings hockey team. We were going to a Tigers game that happened to be the same day as the Stanley Cup parade in Detroit. While we were standing in the parking lot waiting for game time I saw Chris Chelios pull in to his bar Chelli's and he got out and opened up the back of his Expeditions' tailgate and he pulled out the Stanley Cup I told my family Chelli's got the Cup so we went into the bar and partied with the Red wings in their victory celebration got autographs from alot of the players and got to touch Lord Stanleys' cup and even got beer splashed on us from it and we did get to see it get dropped which was for us hockey fans quite horrifying. There are several more but not actually greet and shake hands and converse with situations like the above examples just happened to be in the same room or vicinity so I don't really count those. BronCobraJet 80
My 6th grade teacher, Mr Wendelin. He was probably the most instrumental person in my life at that time. other than that Jay Novacek. he was Q-Back and I was center in school, from 9th grade up. his dad was the coach. Mr. Wendelin is still around and means a whole lot more to me. I really respect the man. I don't fawn on or worship idols. TR Young 175
Neat thread idea! Most recently, I got to meet and drink and laugh and talk with Jennifer Knapp, a former Christian musician who has gone mainstream. Saw her at a small venue in Akron, Ohio last June. After the show, I was outside in a smoking area with about 6 other people and she came out to have a scotch and a smoke. She and I talked for a LONG time; probably an hour and a half, and about anything from hockey to racing to music to England and everything inbetween. Cool chick, and I was very impressed! (met the following when I worked as a security guard at Caeser's in Atlantic City from 1990-1991) Met Ben Vereen and escorted him and his girlfriend to his suite after a show at Caeser's. He was a prick, but his girlfriend was very nice. Mike Tyson, just before his Buster Duglass fight. He was actually fun to talk with! A lot shorter than I thought he was. Don King, at the same time. Mountain of a dude, and also fun to talk with. Julio Iglesias Miss America 1990, Debbye Turner. Stunning chick with a great personality! When I lived in Key Largo in 1992, I was a manager at a grocery store and in walked Kevin Sullivan. He was a pro wrestler in the 1980's and 1990's. He was always one of my favorites, and he was a great guy to talk with. I walked up to him and said, "Aren't you Kevin Sullivan?" He laughed and said, "Yep." We talked for quite a while. Met Dale Earnhardt at Dover, Delaware in 1991. He was actually very funny and very easy to talk with. Met Kenny Baker, the midget who was inside the R2-D2 suit in the Star Wars movies. He is a very engaging guy with LOTS of great stories. Edited March 26, 2011 by TR Young
corbin 621
As a member of the 501st Legion, I've got to meet several of the people involved with Star Wars. Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (R2D2), Anthony Daniels (C3P0), David Prowse (Darth Vader), Jeremy Bollock (Boba Fett) and a few more. Haven't meet George Lucas yet though. Saw him in a room with about 5,000 other people, but that's it. Back when I did Exectutive Security for political types and CEOs, I met a few people, but most weren't very famous. More powerful than famous really, like the President of Rebok, Lee Iacocca, Ross Perot, Alan Greenspan and few Senators here and there. The only CELEBRITIES I've met other than the SW folks are Kirk Cammeron, Bill Cosby and Sandra Bullock. All were nice, though Mr. Cosby had just lost his son, so he was understandably less talkative. *edit to add* When I was young, I met Katherine Bach (Daisy Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard). I think Buck Rogers too. It was at some car show my Dad took me to. Edited March 26, 2011 by Corbin

Bvamp 604
james earl jones morgan freeman eddie murphy elliot spitzer singer and bassplayer from soundgarden got drunk with 2 of the beastie boys didnt know it was them till they left the bar and someone told me david copperfield tom cruise and nicole kidman mary tyler moore the founder of yahoo "superman" (a hacker) my cousin is in the alman brothers mrs johnson of "johnson & johnson" ace freeley robert deniro I cant remember all of them. theres a lot more, but theres a start. most of these people I met because i did work for them, went to school with them, partied with them, or were my neighbors. they are just rich people to me, like the rest of them. when I met the former governor of ny, he bought the estate from the former CEO of home depot, who just happened to be my neighbor, and I was literally handing this dude I had no clue who they were, a nice trout filet and had a filet knife in my hand down at my creek when his security detail came around the bend in a canoe with mp5s pointed at me. yeh that was an odd moment. out of the above, one of the nicest folks out of the bunch was robert deniro - he bought the mansion nearby and fields around the house i grew up with for his sister, and i happened on him when i was out with the 22 plinking one day. morgan freeman and james earl jones are close seconds. mary tyler moore was known to snatch workers into the windows off scafolding on job sites at her estate. i made sure i never worked on windows there while standing in front of them. no thanks. the biggest asshole i ever met was tom cruise. i did almost beat the fuck out of the first seasons winner of survivor too, come to think of it, at one of my watering holes. he was a total fuckin dickhead too. HarvKY 72
Lots of allegedly famous folks Ive at least met, but I'll post a good one from my college years. The Eagles were/are my favorite group and they were playing their Hotel California tour where I was going to school. After a great show I noticed a gaggle of good looking girls follwing just one guy. I sensed he was a roadie so I followed. One girl was the little sister of girl in my hometown so I walked along with them to talk. Turned out I was right and followed them to an after party in one of the ballrooms. They wouldnt let me in, but I knew the hotel so well that I snuck in a back door. Partied with all the band and lots of chicks. After most of the band had gone to their private rooms with their "selections" ;-) me and just 3-4 other guys stayed up until daylight with Glenn Frey, talking, drinking, playing the piano, and singing along with everyone. {Henley was an ass] Cool as hell - especially at that age Ah.......College, - the best 10 years of my life! vulcan16 971
I worked corporate aviation in the 80's. One of our semi regular customers is now considered The most wanted man in the world. His cover back then was he was a arms importer for Saudi Arabia. At the time the company had just landed the contract to outfit King Fahd's brand new 747 with his equivalent to Air Force Ones Interior. With the Royal Saudi Connection, and members of the Royal Family in and out, the "arms importer" deal seemed legit. He was always ready with a $100 bill as a tip, even if he never came out of the jet. Have met too many entertainers along with a few sports figures too mention. Most of them were real cool. We had Ken Grifffeys twin Cessna based at our airport, and was able to hang with him and his then high school son Jr. Same airport, the guy who turned in Pete Rose in to the FBI for gambling always rented one particular plane from us. He was warned that the FBI was renting his favorite plane , not flying it, and was spotted at a different airport with the interior gutted. We suspect the FBI had placed tracking and eaves dropping equipment in it. He was busted with a Kilo of coke and a couple of Mac 10 style guns. He claims that he turned Pete so he could save his wife and daughter. The Fvcker should have taken the warning, and Pete may have been in the Baseball Hall of Fame by now.
