D Martin 0
Anyone know what these are? I was disassembling the gun to do the trigger conversion, and just to have a look inside, and these fell out. The flanged piece is threaded in the center, but I did not remove any screws while disassembling and dont even see anything anywhere that it might have threaded on to. What about the spring?
Mullet Man 2,114
The spring looks like a disconnector spring but appears to be too long in the pic, at ~1-1/2" (IIRC). I have no idea what the other part is for. Very odd that both pieces were just loose inside the receiver.
beefcakeb99 572
The black piece is the threads inside the factory handguard...it fits in the sling swivel hole and lines up to prevent turning. At least that's what I see there on the ruler.
skylikins 16
The spring looks like the one that goes in the rear of a plastic saiga hand guard
tyep 0
Yea good call I believe you have the answers already, threaded nut for inside the bottom of receiver and the stock handguard spring that sticks out the end of the handguard on some of the older Saigas to keep tension on it. My 1993 B-WEST had that style but the 2003 did not just a piece of plastic on the handguard in it's place.
