storm6490 2,768
here is a review on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1U_dIMh81Q gas operated... poop! one piece lower poly... poop! let them eat it up and bring down the price of the saigas!
BobAsh 582
gas operated... poop! one piece lower poly... poop! let them eat it up and bring down the price of the saigas! I didn't watch the review since I've already handled and shot them, and it's a good weapon. But... 1) Yeah it's gas-operated. Like the Saiga. What would you have preferred? 2) Lots of very popular guns are made with structural plastic, so it shouldn't be a dealbreaker for most people.

BobAsh 582
Although you insinuate that I'm giving this thing a good review because of my professional associations, I'm going to remain civil to you, Nick. We wouldn't promote the thing if it wasn't good. The reputation of Tromix is absolutely top notch in this business, and both Tony and myself call them like we see them, period. You obviously don't have any experience in weapons design, so I'm not going to debate the gas system thing; it's a good design and that's that. The lower has no effect whatsoever on the chamber pressure- take a look at some of the really popular semiauto shotgun designs sometime. I get it that you think $700 is too much to pay; that's fine, you won't be a customer but this constant hating on this platform is just silly. ps:It does run 3". Fallschirmjager667 729
piston operated is still gas operated, unless its recoil operated, all semi autos are gas operated.
BobAsh 582
Also, it's not DI, it's got a piston and op rod.
BobAsh 582
Nick, maybe I misjudged your understanding of what this platform is. It has nothing at all to do mechanically with tha Stoner design. It's just a very standard gas-op shotgun on top, the bottom is just a trigger housing/magwell/buttstock in the shape of an AR.
FORKLIFT352 63
Nick.....its the value of AR controls
