Frosty 9
**** I agree with what others have said in some of the threads here about the $700 price tag being high. I know people will jump to defend this. I am sorry but it is not worth that much even with all the kinks the S12 has, removed. **** If you have an S12 and have worked on it yourself you damn well know its not that hard. 8 months ago I bought 2 Saiga 12's for the same price as this 1 Turkish shotgun . Current prices for S12's are pure greed due to fear feeding just like AR 15's when Obama was elected. Yes, I would like to get one. I would just be paying for convenience. Lower the price and that convenience will come my way.................and many others. Just because it looks and acts like an AR does not mean it deserves the same price level. While I was writing this my left nut fell off and my gold tooth came loose..................guess I can get it now. Regards Frosty
L5K 162
700 is cheaper than I expected. I think it will sell well. That's what it's about. Supply and demand. Only time will tell if the price is too high. I do think the price will come down slightly though when they have been out for a while and there are used guns available too. Look at the prices of Sig 556 rifles when they were first introduced compared to today's prices for them. Some people easily dump more than 700 bucks into a Kiber 1911, or other overpriced brand name weapon.
WhiskeyMinion 300
$700 is not alot of money for a semi-auto 12 gauge if it goes bang every time. Hopefully these 1st hundred tester guns aren't juiced up ringers
ShadowFire 220
No joke Whiskey Minion. The price sounds about right to me. I got my AR for a less than a grand back during that scare, got my S12 for under a grand still, and got an AK or two for less than a grand. It sounds about right to me. Now what I have a problem with is 2 grand for one 1911. Holy crap that's a lot of money for a pistol. Owning a few 1911s at a grand a piece I can see why a grand would be an appropriate price tag for a good 1911 but not 2 grand. Considering that the MKA 1919 may not have as much quality put into it as a good 1911 that runs like a top, the price sounds about right. I'm just waiting on the arrival of the shotgun and the M4 style stock mod.
BobAsh 582
Sure, it's not the cheapest shotgun you can get, but I think it's a great price point. 8 months ago I bought 2 Saiga 12's for the same price as this 1 Turkish shotgun. Used ones I assume. Prices haven't been that low in damn near 10 years.
Nailbomb 10,221
I'm going to put myself out there as saying in 3 years they will be about $1k and anyone who dosn't get one will be kicking themselves...
FORKLIFT352 63
You might be right...But I'll bet the price will go way up before the first batch runs out.
BobAsh 582
Yeah, NB is probably right. Most guys think that pricing is based on cost + profit, but more often it's just whatever the market will bear.
Frosty 9
Used ones I assume. Prices haven't been that low in damn near 10 years. Brand new.......both. Directly from an FFL at a Gunshow. Most people around here pass on them so the prices are low compared to else where. Regards Frosty
rob-cubed 74
Wait and see what happens. Agreed that the S-12 should not warrant a $700 pricetag, but as long as the supply chain from Russia and the US market says it is, then it is. Look up DeBeers if you want to see market manipulation. I can only hope post-ATF-study and certain TV shows that they lose their premium. I'd like to get a couple more for my kids at reasonable prices... for $700 I can afford a lot of other fun toys... Frosty 9
I really like the MKA. So do not get the wrong idea due to my opinion about the price. I would really like to try one and even own one......or two. To bring this to complete fruition: Spare parts............plenty for years to come. ESPECIALLY..............BOLTS....EXTRACTORS.....FIRING PINS.....BARRELS. I understand that the lower is polymer and the upper is steel. It would suck to have a cracked upper due to slugs and heavy buck use. Mr. Rumore has a picture or two of this thing broken down. It has many many small parts. ALL of these need to be in hand at warranty service. This is where the Saiga is horrible........you HAVE to scavenge perfectly good guns for spare parts.........this is a huge pitfall for the Saiga. Thank goodness it does not have as many small parts. This has to be done right from the begining and not half assed with slow/non-existent parts for service. I agree, it isn't that hard and I'll pass on the AR looking shotgun. Fugly....
Scott Kenny 144
Barring odd steals&deals on Saigas, $700 *is* the bottom pricepoint for a semi-auto. Even a Remington 1187 is $700 MSRP, and that's about as cheap as you can get.
WhiteRabbit 4
If they charged $2000 for a shotgun that's also an M-16 I'm dead certain people would buy it. In fact, I have a feeling the price will go up when the Turks figure out just how dumb and just how rich Americans really are. $700 is the price of an entry-level AR-15 using standard-sized parts...
