Guns Are Great 140
Most AR's and AK's have a heat shield in the hand guards. I was told by a local FFL that he watched folks test one that had 500-600 rounds of various types ran through it without a hiccup. However, everyone that shot it complained about the hot carbon being vented directly through the holes in the handguard and on to their hands blackening and burning heir hands. Anyone know about this and maybe want to remedy this with a heat shield? Or as Choas said new hand guards? Edited June 15, 2011 by Guns Are Great
