Old SF MJT 7 Posted June 23, 2011 Report Share Posted June 23, 2011 Okay! My new TWS railed receiver cover just showed up at the house! Looks like some quality time in the garage!!! Now, if I can get someone to sort of talk me through the install. I know that there is a YouTube video out there, but I don't have internet in the garage! Can someone out there provide me with the written version of the instructions on how to set the thing up properly? And, yes, I did a search but came up empty handed! Thanks in advance! Pretty easy, really, though is came in handy having a strapping son on hand to help get the thing lined up under spring tension from the rear sight spring! A definite 4-hand operation!!! That said, I think this railed cover is going to be a real game-changer for the AK platform! Rock-solid! Lots of real estate up top to accomodate longer eye-relief scopes and really not too hard on the wallet! The only down-side: Now I have to buy new scope rings!!!!!!!! SOPMOD 254 Posted June 25, 2011 Report Share Posted June 25, 2011 I saw somebody had recoil spring guide issues on the 308 so I blew these off but there have been recent improvements according to some threads so let us know how it wears after it's maiden voyage.
