psl sniper 963 Posted July 10, 2011 Report Share Posted July 10, 2011 pretty excited about this. scored a complete romanian 4x psl scope for 64.00. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280704866496&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT comes with the scope pouch rubber eye pieces and complete instructions. looks brand new. will be a nice addition to my s308. i still have my original one on my tabuk clone. ive been very impressed with these scopes. they are very tough. and hold zero even after having the rifle fall over in the dirt. (ask me how i know. ). i think i may refinish it in black to better match the m76 zrak, or maybe not. either way it will be perfect for the .308 as its ballisticly similar to the x54r. They are indeed rugged scopes. I had one of Kalinka's weaver/picatinny mount scopes. It took a 10 or 12 foot fall onto concrete, and bounced around. The optics and knobs held up fine - the body was scratched up and one of the feet of the mounts broke and it never held a good zero on a high power rifle again.. so I gave it to a friend to put on his AK-22. If only those scopes accepted separate rings, or a removable mounting base or something, they'd be near perfect. Good score on the scope. Does your .308 have a PSL rail? nope. but neither does my saiga x39. the scope fits just fine on the standerd ak rail, if a little low. no problems removing dust cover or using irons. i actually prefer a lower sitting scope. less adjusting. They usually run about $100-125. and you almost never find them as a complete set (especially at that price). that was the main reason i jumped on this one. all the little extras where included. so i now have 2 of the psl scopes and one russian.
