evergreenkid29 14
I went to do another conversion and grabbed the 2 Tromix FCG I have and noticed that the base on one of them, where the pin goes through (the tee part)was shorter then the other one.I measured Outside to outside The smaller one measured 1.003 The biggger one measured 1.025 Will this creat to much side to side slide on the hammer or is it fine?? What do some of yours measure??

TonyRumore 1,332
We try and keep them between 1.000" and 1.025". You have two on each end of the range. The factory hammers run about 1.015". Keep in mind the receiver width on the guns vary quite a bit as well, and the sides of the receivers are not parallel or even flat. They are bowed and tapered. Some guys try and make the hammer hold the BHO lever against the sidewall, but that is not a real good idea unless you hand fit each hammer to each gun. A better approach is to use the hammer spring leg to hold the BHO lever in position. If the general consensus is the customer wants us to hold a tighter tolerance, we can certainly do that....but it's going to cost more and I don't personally think it is worth the additional expense when we have sold thousands like that without a problem. If everyone wants to pay more, I can tighten up the tolerance with some new equipment/processes. So to answer your question, the hammers should both work just fine in your guns.
