emr454 1
I have a Romanian 75 rd, drum that I bought from AIM surplus. It keeps jamming when I use it. I probably get 2, maybe 3, shots in a row and then the tip of the next round hits above the chamber. I clear it and then it starts over again. Does anyone have one of these drums? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks. Eric
KySoldier 2
My drum had difficulty feeding and it had me stumped for a while. As I recall, it would jam up inside and not feed anymore rounds. One of the arms inside was bent just a bit, and it was a simple fix. Does yours sit at the correct angle in the mag well?
jon elia 0
dont the romys wind up? if so dont wind it quite as much
KySoldier 2
They don't actually wind up like the Chinese. But, you can take the dummy follower rounds out and wind it more or less before putting them back in, that will change the spring tension when you go to load.
emr454 1
I doesnt really wind up. You have to turn the knob every time you add a round. It might not be sitting at the correct angle, I'll have to check that. I dont think anything is wrong inside the drum, but if there is how would I fix it? Thanks. emr454 1
It doesnt look like the drum can be taken apart. If something is screwed up inside I might be SOL. How do you take the dummy rounds out? Eric
PM2790 0
On the knurled nut- with a thin bladed screwdriver, depress the center spring-loaded tab. Loosen the nut. Take off cover. Thoroughly clean and degrease inner workings. Follow above advice.
