exquarker 0
Just graduated from college after 10 years and ready to finish up my saiga. This is my second conversion and i want it to be as accurate as possible to an original ak. Let me know what you think and what my next step should be.
jbrubaker 13
Thread barrel for a muzzle brake. Looks great so far!
L5K 162
Which AK are you going for here? Since that's a 7.62, I'd say a 45 degree gas block with bayonet lugs, an AKM front sight block, threaded 14x1mm left hand muzzle and a cleaning rod.

dieb4iwake 60
How do you do a 45 degree gas block?
L5K 162
How do you do a 45 degree gas block? Remove front sight block, remove gas block, press on the 45 degree one, line it up properly and pin it into position. Be warned they can be a huge pain to get far enough onto the barrel without a press.
RobRez 1,895
I think it needs to go to the range and be shot a few hundred times!!
dieb4iwake 60
any posts or vids of this 45 degree gas block cuz id like to do that to mine
mikebaker1129 19
I am pretty sure that you have to weld up the 90* hole and redrill a 45* hole. It is not just the Gas block change, but the holes in the barrel are different as well. I would thread the barrel and add a break of your choice and call it good. Nice work !
