ACE M4 Stock Folding Mechanism

Recommended Posts

Im going to do my first conversion on my saiga 12 very soon, im starting to order parts and im intrested in this. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-254/ACE-Saiga-folding-AR15/Detail?sfs=6f75c2bc

Ive searched the forum and have found no topics or pics on the subject. I plan on mounting a mil spec buffer tube with a magpul moe stock to it.

I have to disagree. I hate the pushbutton, and love the M4 hinge. It stays locked up under recoil just fine. I use the CTR also, though it can be a bit "punishing" under magnum loads, because it is so narrow. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a limbsaver pad for the carbine stock and going with that instead of the CTR. It's an easy swap anyway.

I've got the regular ace folder on a 7.62 I flipped it to fold

Left it's great locks up very solid I couldn't see it folding under recoil. Maybe if you had it folded it could unfold while shooting but that's why I like it if it folded you just swing it open.

I have to agree with Parf.I have the standard non push button ACE with the AR/pignose adapter and an AR stock on My Tromix S17.This gun has well over 5k rounds through it and I have never had the hinge come unlocked while firing.

I have a NON push button on my Tromix and like it.

Most online comments Ive ever seen are more negative towards the push button, but glad the poster has had good luck with his.

Id just ask Greg at CSS what his experience is with sales and and returns

Good luck

Harv
