silverphoenix 11
Just wondering--I used to be able to get craptons of ak74 poly mags for $10 each...now I can't find them anywhere... Where did they all go???
beefcakeb99 572
Where did they all go? Ugh, into everyones collection? There must not have been any big importation of any recently. Let's hope a shipping container or two come in the next few months, but a bird told me not to hold my breath.
silverphoenix 11
Yeah, people are hogging them it seems...or perhaps the 5.45 saigas have picked up in popularity and exacerbated the problem. Either way, it would be nice for a few shipping containers worth of mags to come over soon... I'm not paying over $10 in the mean time...

silverphoenix 11
4 for sale or 4 for your own use? I'm in need of a few more
mikebaker1129 19
All that I see around are the Polish mags, both Poly and steel.
sharkforce 4
like others have said, we bought them all. it was probably because of that cheap CAI ak74 that came with 2 or 3 bulgy mags. you can still find polish 5.45 mags which are said to be compatible with all 74 pattern rifles tapco mags arent too bad and are about the same price as a bulgarian. rob-cubed 74
The Polish 74s are good too. Built to the same standards as Bulgarian. But I only got a couple of Polish back when they were rarer, for the collection. Bulgarians of all numbers have done me right.
TwentyNizzo 66
The Polish polymer mags are not built as strong as the Russian or Bugarian mags, they lack the same steel reinforcements - which is why I don't own any. I only use Russian and Bulgarian AK-74 mags.

rob-cubed 74
All the Polish mags I've seen are fully reinforced. Are they also exporting inferior commercial mags like the Bulgarians now? The only issue with their milsurp mags are the slabside 7.62 versions sometimes develop cracked polymer around the lips but they continue to feed fine due to the steel reinforcements. The 5.45s are equal in quality to Bulgarian, at least in my experience.
silverphoenix 11
Anyone know where to still buy bulgarian 5.45 mags??? Or have any for sale? I only have a couple and evidently missed out when they were cheap and plentiful...
