maxim7711 2
Hi folks, Will my my Saiga 12 be compliant if I have: USA Parts: *pistol grip *trigger *hammer *disconnector * AGP mags (floorplate, follower, body) The muzzle IS threaded and I have one of Dizags AK 74 breaks on it. I am using AGP mags. I would like to use Russian buttstock, pistol grip, handguards upper/lower Hard to understand that its not illegal if I remove the USA mag. Just want to ask the experts here to be sure, first time doing one of these. Thanks for your input. Tom
corbin 621
A Saiga shotgun has 14 parts, not 16. Having more US parts is a good idea though. A gas puck is quick and easy to swap out. Edited September 2, 2011 by Corbin
rob-cubed 74
You are good with the parts listed. Here's a handy calculator: http://gunwiki.net/Gunwiki/BuildAkVerifyCompliance Basically the US mags put you under the limit, so you could use foreign furniture if you wanted. Or use US furniture (I really like KVAR's RPK-style handguard) and don't worry about the mags.
