sickness 89
Anyone have the BP-02 "tactical" (with the little side rail) low profile mount? Can someone post pics side by side with the UTG double rail mount, or show pics of it mounted on Saiga? I'm trying to get a feel for just how low it sits. Also, can anyone confirm a 45 degree angle adapter that would fit on the small side rail?
Lone Eagle 839
Don't have pics, but the BP-02 sits low enough you can see your irons through the rail with the optic removed.. The UTG blocks the irons. Friend has both, and uses the UTG for his red dot. No info on the 45 degree rail, tho.
THX1138 7
I have the taller BP-02 on my .223 (I ordered the wrong one, I wanted the one that sits lower), you can see your iron sights with it on, which is a nice feature. I tested the little side rail by mounting my nephews flashlight from his pistol on it, it seems to work pretty well. I am saving up of a flashlight/laser combo. The mount is a little heavy, but it is built pretty solid, all in all I like it and I think it is a pretty good set up. P.S. There is a picture of my rifle in .223 picture section, if you wanted to see what it looks like. Edited September 9, 2011 by THX1138
flashpoint08 0
I have one, be sure to lock tite the screws holding the rails on or atleast inspect them, was either the recoil or a drunk machinist stripped out the holes on my side rail on the mount. I'm 100% certain it wasn't me because I never removed the rail, and after about 200 rounds I noticed the flashlight I had attached was angled down so I took it off and one of the screws holding the rail fell off, turned out both screw holes where stripped and the threads on the screws where shot. So just be sure to inspect it really good if you choose to get one. outside of that I really liked the mount, I need to find some replacement screws and retap the holes. hutchsaiga 93
How is mounting a light in this position beneficial? Doesn't it just wash out your optics or irons??
THX1138 7
The flashlight didnt seem to wash out the sights or the scope, but I didn't mess with it very long. Sorry I can't be more help than that.
