Foo Fighters Counter Protest Westboro AssWipes

Recommended Posts

Love the sign at the end, "FOO YOU!"

When it comes to Westboro's asswipes, it is too bad we can't get away with tarring-n-feathering.

I'm all for our BoR's, it is their 1A Right, but sometimes your fellow citizens are going to express their opposing view.

Your should be protected from your Government, but not from ordinary Joe Schmoe irate citizen.

I applaud the few times that the local authorities have turned a blind eye to Westboro getting their dicks twisted.

I saw that. I'm glad that they likely hate the WBC as much as I do but I think it's exactly what the WBC wants, more attention. To be fair, though, the bible has nothing but horrible things to say about homos and those who approve of homos.

We had a local family wiped out in a private plane crash recently. Mom, Dad, and IIRC, 5 children. The oldest daughter in the family was not on the aircraft. The Westboro fucktards publicly announced they were going to picket the Memorial Service because it was God's punishment or some fucked up thing. The local community got together with the Patriot Riders to shield the church from these retards and public warnings went out on the radio warning them they might not want to show up. They didn't in the end.

Good on the Foos!

When is someone finally going to drive a burning gas tanker into their compound when they're all gathered? It won't be soon enough.

I would stop short for looking forward to the death of people just because they have an opinion I think is ignorant. That's assuming, of course, that they actually believe what they say. It's hardest to defend the first amendment when people say something offensive, but that's when it's most important to do so. No one has a right to not be offended and they certainly don't have a right to kill others because they were.....

Have you seen some of the signs they carry, and where they carry them? Things like "Thank God for dead soldiers", at a fucking soldiers funeral. Or "Thank God for 9/11". I realize I don't have a right not to be offended. But I have the right to point and laugh if some psycho decided to drive a burning tanker into their compound and they all died a fiery death.

Overboard? Meh.

Yes I have, I detest them. That said, I find it odd to he happy for the death of people that did nothing but offend or hurt people feeling. That's not even an eye for a an eye. That's you said something I don't like so you should die. If you didn't think they deserve death then you would not be happy. The bottom line is that I home they are ignored to the point that they lose all motivation and change their opinion. That's assuming that they really believe what they claim and it's not a publicity stunt. Also, feel free to read what the bible says about those who approve of homosexuals. We are allowing them in the military now, you know. Pretty soon we might even approve of allowing them to marry....

If we were truly a christian nation we would be killing them. They deserve death according to the bible, as do those who approve or take pleasure in them existing.

Let me clarify, I don;t believe in the bible so these are not my beliefs. They are, however, what the bible says IMHO.

To each his own.

I haven't even really said they should die, to be fair. Just pointing out my surprise that someone hasn't gone crazy on them yet, and pointing out that if it did happen, I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep or really care at all.

You added this part in while I was replying, so I didn't see it right away......

I take pleasure in viewing girl-on-girl activities. Come kill me.

I'm also surprised that it hasn't happened, but I would get no enjoyment from it, if it did. That's not to say that I would cry for them. People die every day, they are not special.

I would have to kill myself as well. :D

Many liberals are offended by what is said by conservatives, many conservatives are offended by what liberals say, middle east extremists are offended by what westerners say.. I could go on.. Nobody "deserves" to die just because of things they say in this country.

Again, I didn't necessarily say these shitheads deserved to die. More that I didn't care if they did or not.

But anyways.........what they do goes beyond "I don't like what you have to say, and I disagree with it". They're physically showing up to people's funerals and disrespecting them and their families during a time of grieving. That's crossing the line, IMO.

I won't go so far as to say they deserve to die, but these people need to be silenced.

Free speech is protected, and that's a wonderful thing. But when you are picketing a dead soldier's funeral with signs that say "God hates fags" and greatly upsetting the family when they are at their most vulnerable, it's not about free speech anymore. Free speech becomes slander, or libel, past a certain point and there are already laws against that. I'm not fond of making any more laws to restrict what they do, but what they do is morally wrong. It is most definitely not God's will.

Although they are vulgar the thing they say are NOT slander or libel at all, not in any way. They do not make claims about any one person that can be disproven, they only make claims about god and his motivation. He's not going to sue them in court. You can claim that it's not free speech as much as you want, but that does not make it so. Feel free to look up the definition of libel and slander. The WBC know the law, they don't really break it. Instead they wait for people who hate them to infringe on their rights and then they sue. The first place we are likely to see rights go away are when we deny them for societies outcasts. That's why is important to recognize rights no mate who they protect. Yes, the WBC's actions are morally wrong IMHO as well.

As much as I can't stand the WBC...I do not see what the Foo Fighters had do do with any of those comments. What did I miss? All I saw was the foo Fighters dress up like stereo type hill billies and sing a country type song.

Or was there a story behind that display that I wasn't aware of?

I don't get it? Its bad for someone to approve of the deaths of a bunch of fundimentilist Jesus freaks because of thier opinions. Buts its ok to approve of the killing because of opinions of 2000 year old prophets who wrote the bible? Does this seem like a flawed logic to anyone else? Both sides want to kill the other side because of their opinions. I say let them burn, I'll bring the Smores. These hate mongers are as bad as other group in history. Note: I don't think the Constitution says we are a Christain nation...the founding fathers were mostly secular and wanted church and state seperated.

The deranged people who believe the church's line of baloney are piteous pawns in hands of the conniving creeps who spew their demented dogma. The charlatans who control those protestors are of the same slime that exists almost everywhere in society. The fact that these specific individuals have donned a cloak of sadistic, superstitious prose makes them unique but not especially different.

The real villain here is the news media. They feed the WBC by continually drawing attention to them. They do this because they know WBC stories drive viewers and readers into a tizzy, and this tizzy drives up consumption of media, which, in turn, makes the news agencies more attractive to advertisers.

I've stated pretty clearly that they are vulgar and I detest them. So both are wrong. Also, I don't think either side wants to kill the other side, they just enjoy it when someone happens to die. Anyone who would find joy from people in the WBC dieing are no better than they are. I agree that their is no official religion in the US. Make no mistake, I hate the WBC too, ene though I'm playing devil's advocate. I happen to believe that the bible is no more true than the quaran, so I'm no fundamentalist.

If all you folks out there who are commenting on the Westboro demonstrators want to do something very effective, go to www.patriotguard.org and join us in our campaign. It costs nothing to join, you need not own a bike, come in any vehicle, you dont have to attend any of the missions if you so desire.Your name on the PGR member list adds strength to our cause. If you choose to attend a mission, show up with a 3' x 5' flag on a pole and the Ride Captain will explain what is going on. I will tell you this, it is a moving experience you will not forget. If you want to see an example, Google Patriot Guard Riders and watch the many videos on both Google and Youtube. Don't waste your time writing back and forth on forums, Westboro couldn't care less about your opinion of them, the only action that has impact on their disgusting actions is a group of PGR blocking them from the grieving family. If the Westboro bunch gets to loud, we simply fire up a few Harleys, point the tailpipes toward the demonstrators, problem solved. Currently, I think the nationwide PGR membership is approaching 250,000. PGR really needs help in the area of Washington DC and Northern Virginia because of the many burials in Arlington National Cemetery. PGR, upon invitation by the family, will provide a flag line and escort to any Vet, First Defenders etc. Your membership will be appreciated by the PGR but more importantly, by the family members. When a grieving family member shakes your hand and thanks you for showing up, you quickly realize why you ride in the rain and stand in the hot sun and what an honor it is to do so. Come join us, we need your help. It's not about Westboro or any other demonstrators, it's all about respect for our military and the sacrifice they make for us.Thanks for reading this. Ron Amos, SSG, US Army, Patriot Guard member #18209.
