beachman 1
Has anyone seen or heard of new model Saiga rifles being imported in the near future? I have seen mention on other forums that the recent price decreases are to prepare for new models, but there were no details or pictures.
kresk 10,063
Only newer feature I've seen is them coming in with recently is the front ends already converted with comps and the upper HG. Looks like they are about $100 more than the base item.

GregM1 241
a few months ago, Legion USA (Legion's USA division) had a site up that had at least 30 models of saigas available for import. Was like seeing hardcore porn for the first time. was sooo awesome now its down or moved and i cant find it again. the models they showed had various front end assemblies packages. variations in handgaurds, upper rails, and small things of the sort. all were showing sporter stocks or skeleton stocks. ChileRelleno 7,071
wat we need is one in 7.62x54 r I'll second that and give it a "Damned Straight! According to the ATF's own findings in their 'Study of Importability', we should see Sporters with pistol grips. Edited October 7, 2011 by ChileRelleno

Red Star 38
sheesh... thats a little out of my price range at the mo... would be nice if they started importing them in bulk I would get me one of them quicker than a fart in a seminary...

my762buzz 141
So any idea if some one has these in stock yet? Just as soon as one of the contract importers places an order for a few. A poll thread might catch some attention and speed up the process.
Red Star 38
well, lets start one then...

Red Star 38
i wonder how much a russian would pay for a tigr?
Red Star 38
just found a New Zealand gun store that has Tigr rifles listed for 2665 US dollars... Sheesh...
ChileRelleno 7,071
i want THIS: http://www.izhmash-a...im/imp/232.html Atlantic has the Vepr 54r and Super Vepr .308, both of those are going to give the Tigr some serious competition accuracy wise. And both are less $$$ than the Tigr.
ItsAllCreated 59
I do like the new saigas coming in with front sight & AK-style HG's ....love that! Goodness they just need to put the grip & bullet guide on it so they'll be good to go right out of the box! If I knew the Vepr in either .308 or 54r would be a true 1MOA or less rifle... they'd be an option for me. But I was slightly disappointed in my Saiga Ver21's accuracy. Maybe it was my optic or the scope mount on the side rail, but sometimes it would do funny things. It would do good with cold-bore shots, but once things heated up a bit things started to get a little iffy.

No AK variant will ever be a 'True' 1 MOA or sub-MOA rifle, they're just not designed for it, neither is the likes of other well regarded semi-auto rifles, e.g. Springfield M1A.I'm completely satisfied with my ver.21's average 2-3 MOA using plain'ol Tula steel cased ammo, feed it good commercial and she is a solid 2MOA. I'm jonesing for something that'll reach out and hold that 1MOA, gonna have to be my first bolt gun, gonna likely be a Remington 700 VTR in .308.
Red Star 38
I'm going to have to disagree with you chile... There is such a thing as a MOA, even sub-MOA AK. I can point you to pics to prove it too the Saiga is a remarkably accurate AK variant.
