hey again back after another range day with a buddy from work,

he brought out a 308 rifle he bought at walmart, cute and some what wanna be hunter-ish lol

 

i squeezed off a mag an was feelin good out at 100, he was all over the place, kinda odd so i tried it out,

few rounds i was puzzled.. started checkin his rifle out, after 15 rounds the scope mount was loose! i was like holy shit!

he says in a calm voice is that bad? i had it off this morning an cleaned them up..

 

i just shook my head.. scope rings were loose, the feet werent tight i could get a lil wiggle out them too lol, the kicker was,

he scoped him self on round 7 lol an then after finding out his scope was loose, he wasted another box of match 308!

 

i was amazed.. mortified.. he wanted to just make noise i think.. did i mention he was army?

 

so i got out my tacticool scope i picked up, cmon i know, it was 60$ an thought id try a cheap scopey thing..

mounted it up on the rail (feels odd to me) took 5 rounds to get he on par, and came to the conclusion, i want a better scope for 100 yards+

 

so, i just ordered a tws rail cover (better for a scope right) rear peep sight as well as a full conversion from css..

 

my uncle handed me down a classic lo profile (vintage now lol) redfield scope, cant wait to get her all together...

This reminds me of a story about a Taliban sniper they killed because he couldn't hit anything and found his scope held on with duct tape. Strange world.
