bikermutt07 10
I recently converted my saiga. ( I do not encourage anyone to make modifications to their firearms, leave that to the professionals). I made sure my firearm was unloaded. Here is how I made my BHO. I didn't even have to remove the safety from the gun. I pulled the bolt back far enough to clear the magazine area. While holding the bolt back I raised the safey lever until it hit the charging handle. I made some marks on the safety lever. I removed the dust cover, bolt carrier and bolt. Then, I just dremeled out the spot I had marked. I removed a little at a time until the lever went all the way up to the dust cover. After finishing, I found the the bolt will go forward ifI bump the butt on the ground hard enough. I'm confident if I remove a little more material towards the front that this would resolve that issue. However, as it stands I can easily release the bolt by just pushing down on the safety with one finger or pull the bolt back and let it fly (due to the angle on the rear of safety). These photos show the gun also, still carrying the stock BHO. I hope you like it.

DrThunder88 912
Didn't this thread used to be longer? I thought I commented in it already. Either way, the modification looks good!
