Basic13 3
I have the opportunity to acquire a few 20 rd magazines that look like Uinta or FBMG magazines but they appear to have aluminum or "unfinished" baseplates with a screw right in the middle. Anybody know who makes them?
funkytrain 4
I have 1 of those mags if the price is right get'em . I believe they are fbmg mags with a kit that was available at one time that replaces the plastic floor plate with a metal 1 . The screw on mine is a Allen head that is bolted to another aluminum plate that just simply acts as the floor plate retaining button

headshot 52
Tromix was the producer of those floor plates. First run FBMGs

headshot 52
Tromix was the producer of those floor plates. First run FBMGs So is it factory add on or upgrade and is it somethin people would wanna do with the uinita stuff now ? It was produced out of necessity because FBMG couldn't get the floorplates soon enough to please the Saiga forums.
netpackrat 566
I have both FBMG (second run) and Uinta mags, and the Uinta internals are an improvement; I upgraded the Russian internals that my FBMGs came with to the Uinta parts and that fixed the failures to feed I had been getting. There's nothing wrong with the aluminum floorplates, and they are a US made part, so they had that advantage over the Russian floorplates of the 2nd run for 922r purposes. But there's no real advantage to them over the Uinta floorplates, which are also US made.

SOPMOD 254
I have 9 of the 1st run FBMG magazines with the aluminum floorplates. The have all had their sharp corners rounded off and been painted black with backed on Gunkote. They all run reliably on my current S308.
