ErgonomicZero 0
Sorry for the complete noobness but I haven't found a consensus on 3 gun shotgun sights. Couple questions: 1) What do people win with on the Saiga 12s? Yeah, I know...it's the shooter not the gun. 2) Would a simple ghost ring set up with fiber optic ("FO") front sight work the best? 2) Would it be beneficial to put a rib system in like the standard trap & skeet style? 3) Anyone use a combo system (red dot plus FO or iron sights?) 4) Any experience with this new one? (FO sights built into rail...has a link to youtube showing some comp stuff) http://www.mccannind...es.com/fors.htm Any feed back on any of these would also be greatly appreciated: A) Champion easy shot: http://www.championt...es/easyhit.aspx 'B) Hi Viz: http://www.hivizsigh...ght-P123C1.aspx C) Tru Glo http://www.truglo.co...800?company=TGI D) TRU-DOT... Interesting night sighst for general use; but for comps?: http://www.themakogr...t_p/ml34303.htm Attached picture is DaGroaner's S12 and he's got some type of rib system that looks streamlined. Anyone know what this is? Dude has been off line since July or I'd ask him directly. Thanks, ErgonomicZero Edited November 5, 2011 by ErgonomicZero
garnaz 215
That looks like an IZ-
KC913 324
Yeah, that's a standard IZ-108 rib sight. Comes with it from the factory on that model.
ErgonomicZero 0
Thanks, I see now--they have them pictured at the mfr website, too. Some people are taking them off I suppose to fit other rail systems...but, why not keep them on for quick acquisition and use the side mount accessory with a red dot...that way you can have the best of both worlds? I'm still thinking this hybrid system (http://www.mccannind...es.com/fors.htm) has some potential if you can get a good gunsmith to make it work with an S12. Keep you posted...I may try it once I find a good shotgunsmith in San Diego. Edited November 6, 2011 by ErgonomicZero
CPanther95 0
That rib sight was standard on my '99 S12. When I convert I'm going to be removing it also. Even for quick acquisition, I'd prefer a bolt on that gives a longer sight radius.
JaredC 23
Im curious about this too. I just bought a new Saiga 12 and would like to set mine up more for 3 gun and skeet than tactical purposes. Found one with a 24" barrel just for that purpose. Im kinda stumped on what sights to use. Dieseler 0
I've been looking at sights for quite awhile and just havent been sold on anything yet. However, I think I'm going to give that EasyShot a try!
