LS240 0
I just got my first Mosin Nagant a few days ago, a plain old M91/30(but a beautiful one at that) and I'm already lusting for more. I feel the need for an M44 now but can't seem to find any in stock at the normal dealers. Anyone know where to find some? I'd prefer laminate but hardwood is ok too. Thanks for reading! Stacks 42
http://www.gunbroker.com/ You can try that and search for M44 if you are comfortable with an online transfer. In my opinion, they are overpriced at the $200+ they are charging now because of the limited supply. Word is that the surplus stock for carbines ran dry a few months ago and the price has been climbing steadily since. You used to be able to get the for ~$90 like the 91/30s now and I think at the new price you would be better served with something like an SKS or Ruger 10/22 if you don't already have one. I have a 91/30 too and it is a blast to shoot, still, I wish I was into guns when the carbines were cheap but what can you do. That being said, if you feel like buying one I say go for it. They are great little guns and I hear they are the perfect trolling rifle at the range, with a muzzle blast loud enough to piss off people around you even if they doubled up with plugs and muffs.
