scstrain 8
I have read all the info at the top of this forum and it can be very confusing. QUESTION: Starting out with a stock 19" Saiga 12 with the threaded barrel end, if you want to be able to use both U.S.A. high capacity mags and also the stock Russian made mag that came with it and be compliant, my understanding is that you would need to change 7 Russian (that count) parts for U.S. made parts. Am I correct ??

Scott Kenny 144
Not according to http://jobson.us/922r/ You only need to change 4 parts on a Saiga shotgun. If you're using the factory-original magazine(s), those are "sporting" and don't count against you. My plan is to 'restore' the S12 to AK configuration, so there's a US trigger group and forearm. Pistol grip is an additional part, so doesn't count. Then I can use whatever buttstock I want.
