gunsforfun 1
I was at the range and my recoil rod broke in two. It is the rod that extends from the dust cover button to the bolt and carries the recoil spring. The Russian American Armory says that they don't have access to parts anymore and I can't find the part anywhere. Please help! Thank you!

RobRez 1,895
Try contacting some of our fine vendors here. Many of them do a lot of S-12 work, maybe there is one hiding in a drawer in someones shop somewhere.

Paulyski 2,227
Either have it repaired, or if needing a new one, Tom Cole of Cadiz Gunworks is likely to be your best bet. He's scrapped many a saiga for parts. For years he was the only importer's warranty repair center That part rarely breaks so he might have one laying around.

ChileRelleno 7,071
Hey Man, they're not fucking with ya, nor being assholes, spare parts are rare. Best advice was to have it welded by a professional.
Deadeye 325
a general ak one would probably work you may lose the dust plate though
grendelz 61
Sorry bro, just realized it was the recoil rod that the recoil spring goes on. Take it to a good competent welder or take it to a machine shop and have them make you one.
