AlphaOne 1
What is a reasonable reference weight for a 9 pellet 12 gauge 00? Based on that weight per buckshot, what is the American soldiers max ammo load?
Bigsteel 14
Do you want to know how much weight they carry in rifle ammo as a reference? Or how many shotgun shells a breacher carries?

storm6490 2,768
It's variable. Not a really good defined GI issued answer. You have a combat, fighting, approach march and emergency approach march load. The modern breaching shotgun weighs 5.25 lbs and each round weighs .0625 lbs. average round weight by US standards. Not much is said about how much ammo would be issued. One loaded shotgun and one box would be the norm. It's not like it's used for much else except special operations. Happy reading.. http://thedonovan.com/archives/modernwarriorload/ModernWarriorsCombatLoadReport.pdf
Marc 147
A tube full and maybe a reload for a combat shotty, along with a sidearm and a couple of spare mags if thats the units SOP.
