danny boy 0
I'm the King of cheapasses. Walmart sells cheap Federal game loads for $14.88 per 100 but my rifle would not cycle them. It wouldn't cycle anything but 3" mags or 2 3/4" with 1 oz shot. I was paying around $8/25 so I rarely shot it. I tried cutting the recoil spring, polishing the hammer and bolt carrier and finally today removed the gas block and opened the rear hole to 3/32". Works great! I fired 50 rounds of the super cheap stuff and had one hangup. The recoil is the same as it was with the 1 oz shot stuff. Here's to cheap shooting!

jd1 2
Too late for you but you should have tried the Remington cheap stuff in the green and tan box. My S20 loves them. They're the Rem Game Loads at Commie Mart for 3.27. jd1

Bvamp 604
my s12 has a tendancy to chew on the cheapest and thinnest hulls out there....namely the wolf stuff. but then again, i have a cubic yard of spent shells just from that gun, so im sure there has been a tiny bit of wear that is causing this. otherwise, my 12 will eat up any other shell you give it so long as the hull isnt paper thin.
