hungarius77 1
I'm relatively green when it comes to firearms. I've searched the forum and the rest of the web but I have not found any answer to my problem, so either its rare or I'm just not describing correctly, but here goes... Last month I received my new converted Saiga12 from classic arms.I took it out for the first time, and it does not fire. It loaded the round fine, but when I pulled the trigger I just got a 'click'. After playing with it for a few minutes I gave up. When I got it home and started looking at it, I noticed that the hammer does not come in contact with the firing pin. It looks like there is about an 1/8in gap. It is a tapco g2 hammer and trigger. It looks like the lower part of the hammer hits the block that is above the magazine release. I'm not sure if that is by design or if that is part of the problem. Anyone have any advice on what the problem is and how I can fix it? Thanks.
geepelton 105
It sounds like they didn't grind enough between the coil springs. Should look like this http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-TRIGGERS-dsh-TRIGGERS-GUARDS/Categories
theorangeplanet 968
Pull out the hammer and make sure it looks like #2:
hungarius77 1
Thanks alot guys. Even without removing it, I can already tell it has a substantial bump between the coils. I will take it out and do some grinding on it. Thanks again, much appreciation.
mscottrogers 56
hes correct, just remove enough material off the hammer so it strikes solid and flush. Is it easy to charge? if not they didn't profile it either. If you have a friend that has an original hammer you should do a side by side
The_Caged_Bird 474
If you need an original hammer pop me a PM, I've got a couple and could do without one...

robfromga 39
You payed extra to classic for the converted gun, aside from parts you payed for a gun "from one of the top converters in the country ". I'd be making a phone call before I turned a wrench. Just saying
clifton 354
Who converted it?, Just send it back or not to bad to do it your self.
ChileRelleno 7,074
Its too easy to not do it yourself... And besides, who knows what these professionals might fuck up next? I'd take pics before doing the work and email them to Classic with a good ass chewing.
hungarius77 1
I have a feeling getting this gun shipped back to them to have "repairs" made would be more work than doing it myself. Just having the gun the shipped to my local gun shop was like watching two blind kids playing catch. I think I will still send them a couple of pics. I don't know if they do the conversions themselves or not, but it blows my mind that this could have left any shop in this condition. Thanks again everyone.
rnemhrd 165
Wow, they plaster there site with Christian stuff and let crap out the door. Fix it your self and rip them a good one.
