1993 0 Posted January 26, 2012 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 I'm new to rifles so please bear with me. Am I able to reuse the trigger the rifle came with after converting? If not does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not interested in buying a kit because I want to buy a decent collapsible stock and this is the reason why I want to convert my rifle. DrThunder88 912 Posted January 26, 2012 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 The factory trigger will not be useable with a converted rifle. I have had good luck with Tapco G2 trigger groups. Dinzag and CSS sell modified versions that allow for re-use of the bolt hold-open. Installing a standard AK handguard will require a lower handguard retainer and, unless you opt for an Ultimak rail, a standard AK gas tube. Both can be found at CSS and other fine retailers.
