negev5021 25
I'm looking this thing over and reference the Firebird left side charging handle forend, and I think I see how they are going about it (not sure). It looks like you can charge the bolt from the front off the rail that ends at the gas piston area and goes around the guide rod. So thinking out loud how hard would it be for a qualified manufacturer to fabricate a forend that would have a pump function as the method of charging. I think SPAS 12 hybrid, in that you would shoot the gun in semi auto of course, but in the case of a jam or clearing, rather than taking your hand off the forend to grab the charging handle (left or right) you just gave it a pump. Trick would be non reciprocating, and staying put when not in use, but it would keep both hands where they should be and speed up malfunctions if you ask me. Or how bout a AFG that acts at the charging handle, along the bottom? Any thoughts? Edited January 30, 2012 by negev5021
TonyRumore 1,332
We're already working on a selectable pump/auto setup, primarily for law enforcement that wants to run some less-than-lethal ammo. Tony Rumore Tromix
