Decicded to start new thread for testing info on new imported 030's

Range day with the legion 030 unconverted.

So far great news!!

This test is with a completly stock and untouched legion 030 IZ-433 using federal wallmart bulk pak and fioucci 2 3/4 HV buckshot.

w/ IZ-433 4 rd mags...yes only 4 round capacity.

I even built a short tappet but never needed.

I have shown the 030 gas system to several other engineers and they agree there is not a resonable explaination on how it can regulate between pressure differintials.

I also found the lower handgaurd retainer is held in place by the upper handgaurd. I intially thought there was no locking mechanisism.

I will test more ammo and look for carrier overtravel in the next day or two.

Someone ask about carrier weight:

Just checked with ohaus triple beams

IZ-433 529.5 grams

109 508 grams

I dont see an 030? only a IZ-433 thats trying really hard to be an 030. naaaa.gif

Nice review. Did you open up your ports or no?

Funnie guey...you make me lauff reel haard!! haha.gif

No port work at all. I did disassemble my other IZ-433 and found 5 ports at .070" #50 drill

The test gun is completly stock. This is really good news!!

I need to test to see if the carrier is striking the trunuin with high veloscity loads.

I don't plan on using 3" in any of my saiga's although I have tested in all 108 / 109's I own.

Me either but if they do prove to strike the trunnion, you could always just add a buffer for those specific loads.

RamLake are those 4 or 5 round mags.

I just checked

Fake 030 grimace.gif ie: IZ-433 magwell mags are 4 rounds

legion s12 LBHO rock in mags 5 rounds

and of coarse standard 108 / 109 5 rds are 5 rounds

I will post pics showing a comparison very soon

Had to throw in a little humor concerning people saying these are not real 030's.....there close enough for me!! big_smile.gif
