termpred 3 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 On my S308 I am currently using a Gen 5 UTG mount (came with the gun) and a Vortex 3x9 scope. I had previously used a Weaver 2-7 scope and had the same problem. There wasn't enough rail space to move the optic far enough forward. It worked fine, but the scope was gently hitting my safety glasses when I fired from the prone position. If possible I'd like to mount it a little farther forward so that doesn't happen. Other than the TWS (and similar) options, is there one that offers more rail space? I think the MI one does, but it's $100. Are there other options for less? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
