In the military I served with people who were not superior to me by my beliefs but did out rank me and learned to respect the position when I couldn’t respect the person holding it at the time. You just wait for someone to PCS or retire after a while you don’t work with them anymore. Getting to meet the President is pretty cool, not something that happens everyday, so just look forward to see the representation of the office not the man. Or take the day off and do something you enjoy, while doing something to make a statement about him as a failed person might seem cool finding a new job could be a pain right now. But, a sit down, non scripted Q&A would be tremendously insightful. When an action takes place, or new bill is passed, we really aren't given an explanation. Citizens are a herd of sheep that they must tend for their own good. Most of us think his policies are garbage. But WHY is he making these policies that make no sense to us? The answer of "because he's a liberal or because he's a democrat" Doesn't really cut it for me. Regardless, I'd love the chance to spend even a little time with him... (if anyone cares) i feel conflicted about the whole ordeal, on one hand its kind of cool that the president is coming, on the other its Obama. Salt1219 176 Posted February 18, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 18, 2012 heres a video link when i was leaving last night the building was crawling with security. there were about a hundred cop cars and secret service all over the place they shut down the elevators, the tunnels, and blocked off about half the parking. secret service was easy to spot they are the only guys wearing matching expensive black suits with little flag pins and they are all under 30 with military haircuts. It was even more obvious who they were when you look to see whats going on and two of them walk over to see what your doing. Boeing wanted to expand their plant in South Carolina and the National Labor Relations Board said the company couldn't because it would be anti union.
