Still not Sure, am I compliant?

Recommended Posts

So if a Saiga 7.62 has 14 foreign parts and I exchange the trigger, hammer and shear along with a stock with USA made parts I am compliance, correct? I did add a US made pistol grip. All parts came from CSS

Some information I find here just says trigger but I do not know if they are counting shear and hammer.

I did not state my question clearly. I replaced the trigger, hammer and shear, can I count each of these as a part, totaling three parts?

If I can count 1) trigger, 2) hammer, 3) shear, and 4) stock that is four of 14.

Here is a link to one of the stickys in this 922 section, http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/31710-922r-compliance-automatic-checklist/ , first post in this tread contains this link, http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/BuildAkVerifyCompliance

I knew what you were asking in the first post, I as just trying to get you to answer your own question, read the stickys they are there for a reason.

Following the the stickys and then unchecking the items I replaced would indicate I am not in compliance, would you please confirm this based on the parts I listed have been replaced.

I understood that if I bought a CSS kit #6 it contained all needed parts to be in compliance.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the sticky?

If I understand correctly. Since I have added a PG, I now need to remove one more foreign part and add a US made part.

It's a wash, it adds to the total parts count, but is american made so it doesn't penalize you. Just use the checklist.

Is your pistol grip foreign-made, or US made?

Assuming it's US made, it adds one part to the total countable parts, but you still have 10-or-fewer foreign-made parts.

Yup, 14 foreign (countable) parts to start with. -4 foreign parts (replaced with US made) is 10 foreign countable parts. Then you added a (countable) pistol grip, but since it's US made you still have 10-or-fewer foreign (countable) parts.

tl;dr: You're good to go!
