Oops, I didn't see your follow-up question. I don't think I can link to a non-vendor website, even an industrial supply place. Check McMaster.com and search for "adjustable handle". It should look something like this:

What kind of weapon is this for?

 

Something like this gives you no ability to clamp the optic back down with the same amount of torque each time. You're not going to get a good re-zero with it, I don't think. You might get close enough for S12 / buckshot patterns.

 

If you're not concerned about re-zero (i.e. it only comes off if the optic fails) then you're probably OK.
