I just purchased an S-12 conversion kit with a Kicklite buttstock. My problem is both the factory buttstock and the kicklite use the factory trigger guard for its bottom mount. Don't I need to cut that off to do the conversion? If that's the case what holds the bottom of the new butstock?

Yea, what is that big saw marked junk on there? Is that from the factory?

To awnser your question: to do a "CONVERSION" you MUST remove the factory trigger guard. There is no need for the bottom screw. Now..many stocks have a place fot a screw, or come with a self tapping screw to put where you removed the rivet from the trigger guard and that holds the stock.

The bottom screw is necessary to hold the stock tube to the adapter that fits in the receiver. Don't remove it.

As was said above already, you only need to use the top two screws to mount the stock.

Ok, so I've done the complete conversion and did what you guys said. I test fired it yesterday. WOW. so much nicer. tt charges easier. The bolt hold open works better. The trigger feels more responsive. And the best of all recoil is WAY down. As you can see by my avatar, I'm used to being abused by my Saiga. Not this time. I even shot it one handed, and it felt fine. I love this set up.
