GrandLotus 0
Please vote in the poll. I am leaning towards the TangoDown Stubby. I want the most reliable, sturdy and strong VFG! The VFG is going onto my CSS Rail. Please Vote/Explain your vote/previous experience. Thank you!
dayofruin 425
Not a huge fan of the VFG but I think the Magpul RVG feels the best. That's be my choice.
GrandLotus 0
I have heard some users say that magpul's have broken in two shots.
dayofruin 425
Anything can break. I've used them before and had no problems. Others I know use them without issues. If you can get to a retailer and handle a few different grips, pic the one that feels best in your hand. After all, you'll be the one using it. What I or others like, you may hate. GrandLotus 0
I have heard the best reviews about these and heard the stubby vfg are less likely to break. I am running a flashlight and feel as though it would be more easy to operate a light from the vfg position.
XD45 7,124
I ordered an AFG for mine. With the AFG the forward grip never has to absorb recoil. Your hand is in front of and below the grip. Recoil is back and up. With a light properly positioned on the left side rail it should be easy to operate with the thumb.

GrandLotus 0
Thanks for the replys and other options. Im actually second guessing the VFG because I installed my x300 on the left side rail and the operation of the x300 works well with the thumb.
shades_of_grey 1,092
I like Tango Down fvgs.. they're extremely solid, and the built-in waterproof compartment can be handy. Edited April 4, 2012 by post-apocalyptic

I mainly use the RVG to get a consistent handhold every time and to reduce the awkwardness that the MD-20 introduces. I use the RVG like many people use the AFG (thumb on the handguard and only three fingers on the front of the grip).
Zombiehunter762 376
Tangodown stubby QD or Troy Ind. Stubby.
roachtron 49
I use the afg, I prefer the hold it gives you on a shotgun. It has held up fine through 400 rounds.
shades_of_grey 1,092
The Magpul AFG ain't bad, but imo if you're a physically capable individual, it's not necessary. Any decent handguard/s will allow you a grip that's just as effective, with the right technique.
