Filling holes on my conversion with out welding

Recommended Posts

Spaghetti, duct tape, elbow grease and just a liiiiittle bit of crack cocaine.

So I tried this method. Smoking Spaghetti, and trying to push crack rocks into the holes just isn't working for me.

Actually the gun I have has a hole that helps hold the handguard in that I'd like to fill. There was also a slot cut for a bolt hold open next to the trigger that I'd like to fill. I got it with the bolt hold open, but I'm not a fan of them.

You were halfway there - the crack rocks have to be melted with duct tape to form a binary adhesive as strong as the receiver - this has the added benefit of removing the intoxicating effects of the crack cocaine, and emitting a pleasant pine aroma.

The little plastic plugs really are the best way to go if you're not comfortable welding.

If you don't want plugs or screws, or have a slot you want filled, take it to an auto body shop. Any good body shop will have the equipment and skills to fill the holes. Just make the arraingements BEFORE showing up with a gun!
