So a question was asked last year

So, what did YOU do with your original butt stock?

One of the responses from a Grumpy Old Bastard was

Legs for a coffee table?

After cleaning off the pollen from the porch we had this old wicker table that needed to die

As a replacement, the stocks from a S12, .223, .308 and 7.62x39 were combined with some PVC pipe, pipe caps, old table top from dump, piece of plexiglass, stickers from dogfight ink and some paint.

Pretty sure it is 922r compliant as it only has four foreign made products.

So what do you think GOB?

2" PVC pipe, on the stock measure 1" from bottom mounting hole towards butt end and make a mark. Drill a pilot hole in the PVC pipe 1" from the end and then a counter sink for the head of the screw. Slide the receiver end in the pipe until you reach the pencil mark. Drive a 2" deck screw tight with a drill. You want the stock to pull tight on that side to keep the butt end flat for the leg. Now on the opposite side (Top of stock) you will want to drill a pilot whole that will match the hole originally for the screw under the dust cover. Mine was an 1 7/8". Drive another 2" deck screw in. The design will not hold a lot of weight, I toyed with idea of routing out blocks the stock would mate to, but that is just to much work.............
