nycGUNguy 61
Came across this video today. http://www.strategyp...0306202637.aspx I thought this video was very interesting. Thought this would be appreciated on this Memorial Day weekend comming up. I see that I put this post in the wrong section so let me make it right... I recently aquired a K98 Mauser that had been abused by a friend who was not a gun person. It turned out to be a Styr bnz 43 that had a cracked stock, missing safety, handguard, front sight and hood, and both barrel bands. While looking for the correct stock for the gun, I came across a Yugo M24 stock that was in great condition at a show in Clifton Park, NY. It was for a small ring Mauser and the K98 Styr is a large ring so I did a few modifications to adapt the $50 stock to work with the gun. Here are pictures with my Winchester Garand in the spirit of WW2... I love gun porn... nyclu3 Edited May 24, 2012 by nyclu3
polarman 0
Looks like you did a nice job making it work. Would it be possible to swap the hole from the old stock onto the Yugo stock? Just never seen a K98 without one and it makes removing the pin from the bolt very easy.
U.S. Pratorean 1,234
Gotta love those K-98's. Two of mine: Late war phosphatized with matching serialized soviet optic and DWM 1938 with Zeiss.

Along with my 3 M1 garands I also have a pristine 1903A3 1929 Remington that was rebarrelled in March 1942. Not one of the brittle Rem receivers. VaiFanatic90 360
I need moar K98s. The two that I have are both Russian captures that have seen their fair share of use. But I love them nonetheless.
