hhawk20005 0
Hi, I am just wondering if the stock made by ATI for the AK-47 will fit my .223? Here is a link to the actual part. http://atigunstocks.com/product-AK.html Thanks
SaigaShooter 0
That stock will fit, but you will have to convert rifle if you haven't already.
IndyArms 10,186
I happen to have that 3 piece set for sale, if you are interested... I can do a lot better than $69.99, and it is in excellent shape... I can email pics if you wish...
stokstad 4
I dont want to mess with Indys possible sale or anything but I would recomend the Choate stock over the ATI. They are better looking and seem better built. But thats just my opinion.
BattleRifleG3 16
I concur that the Choate is better than the ATI, BUT if one's negative experience with the ATI is with the SKS, I must say that though similarly designed, the ATI feels so much better on an AK. Can't explain it, but it really is much more comfortable than the SKS version.

JeffMerr 0
What do you mean you have to convert it? Isnt it a matter of purchasing the stock, taking the other one off, and screwing the ATI one in? or am I missing something
cellsworth 21
What do you mean you have to convert it? Isnt it a matter of purchasing the stock, taking the other one off, and screwing the ATI one in? or am I missing something It appears that the grip of the ATI stock is in the conventional AK position. Therefore, you would need to convert the Saiga to move the factory FCG out of the way. Since the ATI stock is a thumbhole stock, I don't think it is a matter of 922r compliance. After all, some Saigas are imported with a Russian thumbhole stock already installed. Edited August 19, 2008 by hogdog
JeffMerr 0
Do you know what the total cost of converting is? Where can I get the parts list? Not including what stock/pistol grip I go with And once it's converted, using a pistol grip is ok with california laws right?
