gruant2000 0
I am making my own custom furniture from some gorgeous bubinga waterfall lumber I picked up. Just wondering if this would count towards 922r?
Mullet Man 2,114
Made in the USA, by you.... right?
gruant2000 0
yep right here in the good ole US made by me. I was just wondering because there really wouldn't be any way of me actually proving that I made it. I guess if I kept the receipt from the lumber..maybe hmmm crap...now that I think about it, the lumber that I am using is actually imported. But I am turning it from a slab into furniture. I think this one may be in a grey area
Fallschirmjager667 729
yes it would count, don't worry about not being able to prove its made in the us, nobody has ever been convicted of 922r violations and i doubt you are going to be the first one just because you can't officially prove that you made it and the lumber being imported has nothing to do with 922r, if i took a Bulgarian stock and carved a handguard out of it then it would be considered a us made handguard Edited June 8, 2012 by Russian Hammer
Mullet Man 2,114
You are taking wood and making it into something it is not, firearm furniture. One could take a hundred factory Saiga stocks, melt them down and use them to make new plastic furniture here in the US. They would be made in the USA at that point. Burden of proof, lies in the prosecution, since they would be challenging you. Take pictures during the process for documentation, if you are really worried about it.
