talaananthes 3
Search, search, I know this has probably been talked about 1000+ times, but this forum doesn't let you search for strings that include two character words . . . thus, sorry, but I can't search for MD Arms. Are these g2g? Are they better than DPH? Is there some reason I should buy one or the other, or a third product? Tac47? Gunfixers? I don't really know what all is out there, but not interested in the auto adjust plugs. Edited June 22, 2012 by talaananthes
TheDarkHorse 216
I chose the DPH because it has 6 settings vs. 5 for the MD. Both are good to go.

FOURBUX 22
Tac-47 Autoplug. I used to run the MD v-plug, and it works awesome, but the autoplug means I can shoot any 12 ga ammo in the same magazine without having to change settings. For this reason, I now run the Autoplug. vulcan16 971
Tac-47 Autoplug. I used to run the MD v-plug, and it works awesome, but the autoplug means I can shoot any 12 ga ammo in the same magazine without having to change settings. For this reason, I now run the Autoplug. Same here. Set it and forget about it. Mixed loads in a mag is great......especially on unsuspecting friends.
FOURBUX 22
Tac-47 Autoplug. Same here. Set it and forget about it. Mixed loads in a mag is great......especially on unsuspecting friends. The only issue I have out of my autoplug is after a 100-200 rounds or so, I find that the adjustment screw on it has backed out a quarter turn or so. I keep a large flat head screwdriver in my gun case to address this problem. This can also be permanently fixed by CORRECTLY tuning your autoplug and loctiting the adjustment screw in place. The_Caged_Bird 474
I clean mine by running a mag full of magnum slugs...
xxlfitness@yahoo.com 14
Did you keep the same gas puck or change it too, does it need to be changed or does that help? I see many people make them and tout how good they are

I only clean the entrance port on the autoplug, and the exit ports rarely when they need it. You shouldn't have to clean the internals of the autoplug very often if ever, as it's a relatively simple design. The position of the screw or rather it's loctited in doesn't matter for me - I don't touch it during cleaning.
BOB A. BOOEY 45
Tac-47 Autoplug. The DPH plug I have will not turn unless the detente is pushed in. I do NOT recommend, in fact, I'm replacing it with a MD plug for that reason.
KennyFSU 249
Bob, you state that the DPH plug will not turn unless the detent is pushed, why is that a bad thing?
Spartacus 1,619
Either the Gunfixer or the MD plug. I like the Gunfixer plug because it's simple.... essentially Low - Medium - High settings. The MD is a good plug too, although you probably don't need that many settings. It's probably a bit more refined than the Gunfixer plug though. The Auto plug is a cool product, but I see no need to run high brass and low brass in the same mag. If you ever need the gun for zombie party time, set it for low gas and have at it. No need to worry about valve spring problems or adjustment screws getting loose.

Spartacus 1,619
.....but still have the v plug for the ap magnum slugs Does your "chicagosfinest" moniker grant you access to "ap magnum slugs" or is that something also available to mere mortals? Noting of course that the S-12 is a prohibited weapon in Cook county too (at least in "AK" form").

I'm guessing that's probably a "no" then for availability of the ap rounds for us peasants. Thanks for the info.
