I took the narrow loops off. Installed machine screw swivel stud up front (fits into original loop screw hole, and wood screw swivel stud for rear (can use one of the rear loop mount holes. Then I put some REAL swivels on it (not those junky wire loops that come stock). You can then mount any standard 1 or 1.25" sling (depends which swivel size you get) on it. Unkle Mike's locking swivels work, but Outdoor Connection (or also GroveTec) solid machined 1 piece swivels are the best out there. You should be able to source these swivel (and stud) sets for about $10. Rock solid.
