It appears that when it is sideways right before it exits the gelatin, it reverses the rotation and exits with the nose of the bullet out front. You are correct. The projectile yaws immediately 180 degrees on impact and then reverses but usually exits at 90 degrees. Rounds I have recovered especially the HP's not FMJ's, are flattened longitudinally and the lead core squeezed out the tip like toothpaste. I have also shot at 55 gal. drums and the entrance hole is round and the exit a perfect silhouette of the projectile sideways. Makes for nasty, nasty, wounds. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
