Squishy 1,149
...the Kryptonite goes dim in "Night Sights"? I have a pistol on which this has happened. Can they be refurbished or do they have to be replaced? I really don't have to have the illumination so I thought about dropping a dot of white paint on them, it would be tricky though to get right. poolingmyignorance 2,191
They make a "tru-glo" paint. Trick is to degreas your sights really well with some acetone (you'll need to protect your guns finish) or I've enven used rubbing alcohol for small plastic parts. Then use a tooth pick to just drip a drop in the recess, and let it dry according to directions... (nail polish works as a cheap subsitute)
Squishy 1,149
Yep, this is what I thought of doing, maybe taking a single hair out of a paint brush cause I'd think it would be better to try and put a small drop of paint in the center and let it spread than try to work it and cover the dot if that makes any sense. I guess the sights either can't be refurbished or it would cost nearly as much as a new set.
zenman223 460
If their trijicon's they can install new lamps in them, not sure the cost but I dont think its quite as much as new sights plus I believe they're warranted for 15 years so you might can get them replaced for free. They appear to be the factory night sights.
